According to the State Examination Center (SEC), the specialization selection process for master's program admission at higher education institutions is now underway. Bachelor's graduates who meet the competition requirements based on the results of the admission exams held on February 15, May 17, and June 14 (and, for certain programs, the aptitude exam as well) are eligible to participate.
From July 20 to July 26 (until 23:59), graduates must complete and confirm the "Bachelor's Electronic Specialization Selection Application" through the SEC's e-services portal at eservices.dim.gov.az/erizemag/erize. During the selection process, a graduate may list up to 20 specialization codes corresponding to their completed bachelor's field, arranged according to their own order of preference. The full list of available specializations, along with the minimum required scores for each, is published in the selection table found in the 3rd issue of the "Magistr" journal for 2026.
A key feature of this process is that the order in which specializations are listed carries legal weight — the specialization listed first is treated as the applicant's top priority, and competition results are determined precisely according to this sequence. A single misstep in ranking can cost a student the specialization they actually wanted.
